Leah joined The Waterview Pines team in April of 2025. She was inspired to start her journey in healthcare at the age of 13 when she met the hospice nurses that were taking care of her grandpa. After seeing their compassion & kindness, she decided she wanted to become a nurse. She received her CNA at age 17 & then pursued her LPN in 2016 & worked in an OB department for little over 5 years. She then went back to school & fast tracked her bachelor’s degree in health management from the U of M Crookston. Leah has always loved helping people & couldn’t see herself in any other field. Outside of work, you'll find Leah spending time with her two kids, John & Nora, and her husband, Steve, ice fishing, driving around in her '65 Chevelle, going to car shows & travelling.
Jennifer joined The Waterview Pines team in March of 2026. Jennifer's nursing career started later in her life when she graduated nursing school in 2015 at the age of 45. Her first nursing position was in a dementia unit and then eventually moved into working in Psychiatric Nursing, both inpatient and outpatient. She came back to caring for the geriatric population working at an Assisted Living Memory Care in the Twin Cities for four years before moving to Cook, MN and beginning her career as Director of Nursing at The Waterview Pines. Jennifer loves the team she works with who give their heart and soul to taking care of our elderly population. Working in long-term care is both challenging and rewarding!
Lexi began her career with Monarch as a Healthcare Intern at The Waterview Woods in April of 2023. She moved into the Assistant Administrator position covering both The Waterview Woods & The Waterview Pines in June of 2025 and graduated with her degree in Healthcare Administration from MSU Moorhead in May of 2026. In her position, Lexi works closely with all departments, which has allowed her to develop such a wide breadth of knowledge. With this, she's able to collaborate with all staff to ensure we are providing the highest quality of care to our residents.
Kevin started as the Director of Rehabilitation at The Waterview Pines in May of 2022. He has over 27 years of experience working in the physical therapy field. He became interested in physical therapy knowing that he could help improve his client's qualities of life. Understanding that his work can change someone's life for the better continues to bring him back to work each day. He has worked in a wide variety of roles within the physical therapy profession and every day is different with new challenges and new achievements.
Emily has been a part of The Waterview Pines team since May of 2026. After graduating from high school, Emily attended nursing school and began her career in healthcare. Working in healthcare taught her the importance of compassion, advocacy and making a difference in people's lives through nursing. Over time, she realized her true passion was helping individuals through life's challenges in a different way which is what led her to social work. In her role as Social Services Director, Emily loves supporting residents and their families, advocating for their needs, and helping them navigate difficult times. Outside of work, you can find Emily travelling with her Fiancé, camping, spending time at the lake or by her pool, making memories with her nieces, nephews and step kids, exploring the outdoors with her dogs, and hitting the trails in her side-by-side.
Cristy joined The Waterview Pines as a CNA in May of 2025. Cristy has 8 years of experience as a CNA in assisted living, memory care & long-term care settings. She moved into her current role as Therapeutic Recreation Director in May of 2026. Cristy finds purpose, connection & a sense of making a real difference working in long-term care. In this field, she finds her work to be visible & impactful, whether it's helping a resident get ready for the day, serving a meal or simply sharing a conversation that lifts their spirits. She loves knowing that her role helps our residents live with dignity, comfort & joy. That sense of giving back and making a positive impact is what keeps her committed to this work.
