What to Expect
Here is what to expect at the beginning of our journey together.
Moving into a new living situation can be a stressful and difficult time for a loved one and their family, a skilled nursing facility even more so. First, take a deep breath. The staff at The Waterview Pines has the experience to get you and your loved one through this transition.
When you Arrive
We will escort you to your room and help you settle in. After our social services department and the nursing team show you the amenities of your room, we will do an initial assessment to ensure that you get the care you need. Soon after, you will meet with the other members of your care team, including representatives from our Culinary Team, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Services, and others.
After You Arrive
The Waterview Pines will provide your medication, medical/hygiene supplies, activities, and meals. The only things you will need to bring are several pairs of clothing, assistive devices you use, and any personal items you would like to make your room feel more home-like. If there is ever anything we can do to make your experience better, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Our Goal
Our goal is to make your transition into our facility as seamless as possible. We know that the decision to move into our facility is not one that is taken lightly. We will do everything within our power to help new residents get acclimated to their new environment as quickly as possible. If you or your loved one are worried about moving in, please let us know and we will work together to come up with a move-in plan that assuages any concerns.
