What to Expect when you join our NAIT Program:
Qualifications: Able to actively enroll in a Minnesota DHS approved 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training & Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). Ability to clearly speak and proficiently read and write English.
Work with your facility Human Resources to ensure these 4 documents are completed:
- Background check
- Fingerprinting
- Mantoux
- NAIT registration form
Your facility Human Resources will assist you in coordinating:
- Orientation to Monarch
- Facility specific orientation
- Completion of Education Modules (Med Trainer)
- Enroll in an approved NATCEP 75-hour course
- Schedule to attend 16-hour competencies (general)
- Schedule to complete facility specific competencies (mechanical lifts, bathing, oxygen, feeding)
- Shadow / work the floor / be added to the schedule
- Upon completion of the 75-hour NATCEP course, schedule your CNA skills & knowledge State exams
- Upon passing your CNA skills & knowledge State exams and listed on the Nurse Registry, applying for an open CNA position and wage increase
