Carrie Patterson
Director of Nursing
Carrie graduated from North Hennepin Community College and has been working in Nursing since 2009. Her experience involves home care, group homes with full ventilator patients, nurse management at high skilled nursing acuity and behavioral facilities, Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. Carrie was previously the Director of Nursing at our sister center, The Estates at Fridley. Carrie and Michaela have worked together for two years and make a great team.
What led Carrie to The Emeralds at St. Paul was the high acuity skilled nursing and the need for a DON at a Ventilator Skilled Nursing Facility. When asked what she enjoys about working at The Emeralds at St. Paul and she stated, “First of all I am so grateful to be the Director of Nursing at The Emeralds at St. Paul. This is my calling. I strive to be challenged at being a skilled and qualified nurse and a Director of Nursing and this is the perfect place to do that.”
Carrie is dedicated to her field and passionate about her facility. Some hobbies Carrie enjoys include spending time with her family, hiking, camping, biking, boating, having bon fires, grilling out, and learning new things.
Blake Dehnke
Administrator
Blake has been involved in healthcare for four years. He started as a dietary aide at a nursing facility in the town he grew up in. Blake graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and has been involved in improvement projects at many different care campuses. On a daily basis, you can see Blake walking through the facility, talking to the residents and care team members, making sure everyone is satisfied at the campus.
Blake has a passion for providing the best possible experience to every single resident. He has a passion for improving every aspect of care and is a strong believer that everyone is needed to make positive changes in providing care. In his spare time, Blake enjoys learning about fitness and being actively involved at the local YMCA. He also enjoys landscaping projects and getting out into nature
