What to Expect
At Bethany on the Lake, we seek to provide you with a seamless transition into our skilled care facility.
Here is what to expect at the beginning of our journey together:
Moving into a new living situation can be a stressful and difficult time for a loved one and their family, a skilled nursing facility even more so. First, take a deep breath. The staff at Bethany on the Lake has special experience to get you and your loved one through the difficult start. We realize you may be feeling overwhelmed right now, so we have put together a few helpful hints to prepare you for your stay.
Upon Arrival
We will accompany you to your suite at Bethany on the Lake and help you settle in. After our nursing team shows you the amenities in the room, we will complete an initial assessment to ensure you get the care you need. You can expect to meet with a representative from each department to learn about your preferences, usually within the first 48 hours. Behind the scenes, these representatives will be working together as your interdisciplinary care team. They are the driving force in developing the plan of care for all our residents. We are committed in providing you personalized care in your new home.
After You Arrive
Bethany on the Lake will provide your medication, medical/hygiene supplies, activities, and meals. The only things you will need to bring are several pairs of clothing, assistive devices you use, and any personal items you would like to make your room feel more home-like. If there is ever anything we can do to make your experience better, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Our Goal
Our goal is to make your transition into our facility as seamless as possible. We know the decision to move into our facility is not one that is taken lightly. We will do everything within our power to help new residents get acclimated to their new environment as quickly as possible. If you or your loved one are worried about moving in, please let us know and we will work together to come up with a move-in plan that eases any concerns.
