Moving into a new living situation can be a stressful and difficult time for a loved one and their family, a skilled nursing facility even more so. First, take a deep breath. The staff at the Estates at St. Louis Park have special experience to get you and your loved one through the difficult start.
After arriving and getting settled in, you can expect to meet with a representative from each department to learn about your preferences, usually within the first 48 hours. Behind the scenes, these representatives will work together as your interdisciplinary care team. They will be the driving force in developing the plan of care for all of our residents.
The Estates at St. Louis Park will provide your medication, medical/hygiene supplies, activities, and meals. The only thing you will need to bring is several pairs of clothing, assistive devices you use, and any personal items you would like to make your room feel more like home. If there is anything we can do to elevate your experience, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
Our goal is to make your transition as seamless as possible. We know the decision to move into our facility is not one taken lightly. We will do everything in our power to help new residents get acclimated to their new environment.
