Our clinical nursing services at Laurels Edge are designed to meet tenants exactly where they are.
Assisted living is not a medical model of senior living, but some health care services, customized to residents’ specific needs, are provided. Medication management, emergency support, pharmacy services, and medical records maintenance services are offered to residents. Our facility has dedicated medical staff who visit residents regularly to provide medical checkups.
There is no single blueprint for assisted living facilities, as resident needs and preferences vary considerably. We take this into consideration when providing our nursing services. We help tenants enjoy independence and quality of life by providing basic health care assistance, personal care, housekeeping, transportation, and a variety of social and recreational opportunities in addition to our nursing services.
Assessment
In our facility, each resident receives a thorough assessment from a licensed nurse of their physical, emotional and functional status. Additional assessments are performed as needed, based on caregiver recommendations or if a change in condition is perceived. These assessments help us make sure our tenants receive appropriate care and are as happy and healthy as possible.
Discreet support is available 24 hours a day from our professional staff. We offer a broad range of services, including:
- Personal Care – assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, getting dressed and safety checks; escorting to and from daily events
- Incontinence Management – daytime and overnight assistance
- Medication Reminders – includes consultation with primary physicians and pharmacies, plus ordering and scheduled reviews by a licensed nurse
