What to Expect
At The Gardens at Foley, we seek to provide you with a seamless transition into our skilled care facility.
We’re committed to assisting you in making The Gardens at Foley your new home.
Coming into a new environment can often be a challenge. People tend to get into routines in their daily life and, oftentimes, stepping outside of these routines can be quite challenging. We are here to make sure all residents who spend time at our facility are able to make the transition as smooth as possible. When you arrive, we don’t just take you to a room to let you figure out what to do from there. We take the time to make sure you are settled in and that you have everything you need to begin your stay with us in a comfortable manner. Below, we have listed a few points that we feel are important for new residents to know before arriving at our facility.
We’re committed to making your routine as you stay with us as pleasant and productive as possible. Based on your physician’s prescription, we’ll create a therapy schedule that’s designed to optimize your recovery time. Our nursing team will help you with medications and daily preparations. But remember, it’s not all hard work! We offer fun activities throughout the day, as well as Internet and cable TV to provide you with some much-needed downtime during your stay.
When You Arrive
When you arrive at our facility, we’ll escort you to your room and help you settle in. After our nursing team shows you the room’s amenities, they will do an initial assessment to ensure you get the care you need during your time with us. After this initial assessment is completed, you’ll meet the other members of your care team.
What to Bring
Make sure you pack several loose, comfortable outfits to wear during therapy. These outfits should be easy to get on and off because you don’t want to potentially aggravate any injury you may have. Sweatpants, shorts, t-shirts, and sweatshirts are good choices. Additionally, you will need to bring pajamas, undergarments, and any toiletry items you may need during your stay, as well as assistive devices like glasses, hearing aids, or equipment you were given at the hospital (braces, walker, etc.). If you forgot something, don’t worry. Simply let the staff know and they will accommodate you.
Butterfly Bistro Dining
Our kitchen staff produces delicious and nutritious meals that support the nutritional health of everyone who stays with us. We make every effort to cater to your preferences while adhering to your diet. We also offer select menus and snacks.
