Ian Niles
Interim Administrator
Ian is a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!) majoring in Health Services Management with focuses in Public Health and Long-Term Care Administration. He has worked at several Monarch facilities while starting as a Healthcare Intern in 2023. Those early experiences provided the opportunity to act as an Interim Administrator for two other nursing homes in the Twin Cities. With a passion and appreciation for the Lake Minnetonka area, Ian began work at The Estates at Excelsior in March of 2025.
Ian has executed a multitude of projects within Monarch and the community. His next focus is on further cultivation of a safe, warming environment at Excelsior while bolstering community involvement in care. "Lake Minnetonka is a staple of the west metro. The surrounding neighborhoods are deeply entrenched in the lives of our residents. I want to build lasting partnerships in the community that grow with this facility." He understands that it takes a village to provide enriching care and is eager to find creative ways to make a difference in the lives of the residents.
In his free time, Ian can be found touring the food trucks in the Twin Cities or running the Mississippi River. Unfortunately, he does not have any pets, so he spends time at the humane society to scratch the itch. In the future, he plans to obtain a Masters in either Healthcare or Business Administration.
Motto: "Meet people where they are at."
